I am a good candidate for the team because balancing being on a competitive team while still excelling at academics is somethings I have been doing my whole life. Managing the life of a student athlete while maintaining good grades is something I will be able to do. When it comes to character, aggression on the field has always been one of my strongest aspects, which my coaches can attest to. Athletically, I would be a good candidate for a team because of my athletic strength speed and ability not just in field hockey. Since my sophomore year I have been a tri-varsity athlete, keeping me in top tier physical shape throuought the whole year. In addition to always being on a varsity sport, I run 5ks, go to the gym before school every morning, where I not only improve my speed, but improve my strength by lifting weights. I am constantly training myself to be faster and stronger. My speed and endurance is what helps me stand out and excel in my field hockey games. I fell in love with field hockey in the fourth grade, and have grown more and more passionate about it since then. In addition I have always had a strong love of learning. I aspire to be part of a competitive team in college, and to continue playing the sport I love.
