Anna Hurley '16 Recruiting Profile

I love to play.  I love the game and all it represents.  I love the competition and the adreniline rush that I get when we face tough teams.  Field Hockey has brought me teammates and coaches that feel like family.  I feel I am a good candidate because my commitment to my team and fair play is unrivaled along with my constant desire to improve myself and inspire my teammates.  I am competitive by nature and that also shows in the classroom, where I strive to exceed expectations, both mine and my teachers.  I come from a family of five children.  I learned early how to find calm in chaos and I believe that is a tool that helps me time and time again.  I am different to other recruits because I have faced significant hurdles in my life and have made it a goal to not let them define me but rather to force me to always try harder, do more and remember that everyday there's an opportunity to help someone else, a teammate, a coach, a teacher, a friend, a family member ot maybe a stranger.  My main goal is to never lose sight of that.
