Emma Jakubicka '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming for over six years now, and continue to fall in love with everything the sport of swimming has to offer. Despite my later start in swimming, I found an immediate passion and drive to become stronger and faster. This past season in particular (2021-2022) I grew even more in love with the sport, seeing immense improvement catalyzed by more rigorous training. I grew fond of butterfly and experienced great success in the 100 fly. Specifically, I began the season with my 100 fly SCY time as 1:07.00, and by the end of the season in March 2022, I swam a 1:00.13. I am continuing to work hard, and in the middle of my junior season (2022-2023), I swam a 59.78 in the 100 fly, breaking my school record. I was also named team captain of my club team which not only demonstrates my love of the sport, but also my superb leadership skills. In amalgamation with my swimming career, I am also a dedicated, and motivated student, with an intent of attending medical school and becoming a physician.
