Dear Coach
I am a mid/forward playing for Pinnacle (Ann Arbor, MI). · I just completed my freshman high school season as center-mid at Pioneer High School, where I made the upper JV team, and was named MVP. · I started Club last year as a U16 @13 years old, due to my 12/31/03 birthday. · I started Field hockey in the spring after my sixth grade year(Spring of 2016) · I want to be a collegiate field hockey scholar-athlete, and am looking for a school with strong academics and athletics. I'm undecided in my field of study.Facts about me: *I believe in the team, and building up my teammates- teams are only as strong as the weakest link. *I am intensely competitive-with myself and others, exceling on the field and in school (I’ve been this way from birth- I have a twin brother!) *I am a 2 sport athlete, with 6 years as a starting pitcher for travel softball, which gives unique skills to my field-hockey game
*Mental toughness, strategy, ability to read other athletes
*Superb eye-hand-ball-body coordination
*Power and Explosiveness
*I have developed rapidly as a Field Hockey athlete, coming to the game relatively late. I started Rec and Ed late in 6th grade. As 7th grade middle school goalkeeper and sister to a keeper, I respect the Keeper’s perspective and leadership (but didn’t get much field playing experience) I began club clinics in 7th grade to make sure I’d be on the field in 8th grade(I’m too restless to be a GK!) , and earned a development spot with Pinnacle in 8th grade on the u16 team, which was initially intimidating initially to play with D1 commits- but made me a much better player. I Earned a position on Pinnacle’s premier team this year.
Sincerely,
Ceci Maixner # 28
