Hi! My name is Ashley, and I’ve been playing field hockey in 6th grade. I’ve played many sports before but none clicked like field hockey did for me. I started in 6th grade and played for my modified school team in 7th, and that spring I started my first travel team. Unfortunately due to Covid my middle school didn’t have sports my 8th grade year, but that didn’t stop me from still playing travel year round. In 9th grade I joined my schools varsity team where I started all games but 1 as a defender. My sophomore year I started and played full games as a defender and now my junior year I rotate in between forward and defense starting positions. Spring of my sophomore year I switched to Rye field hockey club where I enjoy playing at a more competitive level than before. In my spare time I also practice my skills. Field hockey has always been what I loved and my goal is to take it to the highest level of competition I can. I am very competitive when it comes to field hockey and will never back down from a challenge. When I’m not playing field hockey, I enjoy doing artistic projects, as well as spending time with my friends and family.
