Mackenzie Halliday '22 Recruiting Profile

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Mackenzie Halliday, and I am a rising senior at Cazenovia High School. During the school year, I maintain a 4.0 GPA while participating in three varsity sports. I am the starting goalie for both my field hockey and lacrosse teams. During the winter, I compete in field events on the indoor track team. In the past, I earned a Black Belt in karate and competed as part of a ski race team. While I enjoy many different sports, I am most drawn to field hockey. Being a member of the Southern Tier Storm Club Field Hockey team provides me the opportunity to play the sport I love throughout the year.

Currently, I am exploring careers in psychology, forensics psychology, and/or fire investigation. I have been a member of a firefighting explorer post for 3 years and currently serve as the President of my post. This experience has reinforced my desire to pursue a career with a focus on helping others. I look forward to finding a school where I can become a contributing member of a field hockey team while building an academic foundation for my future.
