Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Brenna Lincoln and I am currently a student and athlete at Clarence High School in the graduating class of 2023. I have been involved in school and club field hockey, lacrosse, dance, chorus, theatre, and community service activities since middle school.  Currently I am employed as a barista and server at The Clarence Center Coffee Shop. I am thoroughly invested in playing college field hockey, as no other sport has truly given me so many positive experiences and personal fulfillment. I started playing field hockey in the sixth grade, but truly started playing goalie in the seventh grade. What started as me volunteering to be the goalie turned into one of the biggest pieces of my life.  I have connected with so many new coaches, athletes, places, and it has forced me to push myself not only as an athlete, but as a person. I have been encouraged to strengthen my leadership skills on and off the field, and inspired to build my social and academic integrity. I am currently involved in the National Honors Society and have been involved in student council as well.   Goalies play a unique leadership role on a team that requires direction, self-awareness, and mental toughness.   As an aspiring collegiate athlete, I hope to use these skills and build upon them as well as learn new skills to grow as a player and an individual college student athlete.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
