I started playing field hockey in 9th grade, which is later than most girls. I had to work extra hard to learn the rules, skills, and still impress the coaches over the other girls. The first game of the season, the coach announced the starters, and I was among them. Through the sport, I learned hard work, sportsmanship, and most importantly, how to be a team player.
From the moment I picked up my first field hockey stick, I grew a passion for the sport and have loved it ever since. I strive to be the best player I can possibly be and support my teammates. During the "off-season" I work as hard as possible in order to perfect my skills as well as learn new tricks. I am competitive and dedicated player as well as a fast learner and very coachable.
Off the field, I strive academically as well. I study and work hard in order to maintain my high grades and keep my recognition as a member of the high honor roll and a student- athlete. I hope to play field hockey at a college level and look forward to growing on my field hockey experiences.
