I have been playing Field Hockey & Lacrosse since 7th grade. In the summer before my freshman year I played with Varsity on the summer league team. I was the only 9th grader on Varsity that fall and I was a starter. (I was also placed on LAX Varsity as a freshmen but decided to stay on JV). Coach stated I was captain just without the band in 10th grade and I took that very seriously. I am a very versatile player. In 9th grade I started as a forward, then in 10th grade i was center midfield and in 11th i was defensive midfield. I tend to take the lead on all the different teams that I play on and assist in helping my teammates up their skills as well. I watch a lot of field hockey videos and now seem to have a talent for picking up on what an opposing players next move is going to be. I play for William Floyd School and we are a challenged team, which I do see the positive side of it is that although we never win big I do get a lot of playing time. I am rarely on the sidelines which can be both good and bad. I have taken indoor training at Strong Island, played summer and winter leagues there as well on my Floyd team. I am also on Strong Island indoor travel tournament team and will be playing there as well for the spring league. I greatly enjoy playing indoor field hockey as well as I have increased my skills so much and I am so looking forward to our summer league and then fall season. I am a very dedicated, determined, hardworking player who is constantly outside creating drills and training courses in my yard if I am not at practice, playing a game or at club. I am always happily open to all feedback by coaches as I thrive on improving and bringing up my game. I am an excellent student as well and I feel with the passion and dedication I have to this sport I would be an asset at any college.
