I am a multi-sport athlete and have played just about every sport growing up. Soccer, basketball, swimming, tennis, track...if there is a competition I am likely to have tried it. I currently play field hockey, basketball and track & field at Providence Day School and am one of the fastest players on the court, field or track - my 400 meter time is 61.3 and my 800 meter time is a 2:22.5 which was the 6th fastest time in the state championship meet. I use my superior speed and endurance to my advantage as a midfielder.
I didn't get started playing field hockey seriously until high school. Even though I started playing the sport later than some, it is definitely my passion. I made the Varsity team as a Freshman and have been a starter all three years. I am happiest during field hockey season. I love the sport and hope to continue playing in college. I am super competitive at everything I do and I always push myself 110%. I have been told by my coaches that I am hard working and very coachable. I am excellent at seeing the field and consistently try to make good decisions on and off the field. My hard work was recognized this past season in a number of ways. We had an undefeated season and won the NCISAA State championship - the first State title our school has ever won - and I made First Team All State and was honored with the "Charlotte Observer Athlete of the Week".
