Hey! My name is Piper East and I am a U19 goalkeeper for Charlotte Ambush Elite as well as the Varsity goalie for Covenant Day since freshmen year. In 7th grade, when I decided to “pad-up” and jump in the cage, I knew this is where I would belong. Now, I am a U19 4x Elite player going to national tournaments to compete, playing a sport that I love so much. One of my favorite aspects of field hockey is that no matter how hard it gets or how tired we get after a long game, as a team, we all push through and play our hearts out because we have all worked hard to get where we are. From the first time I played in goal, I fell in love with the sport and have not looked back since. I strive to work as hard as I can to get better and to be the best player I can be and to not ever give up. In college, I want to be challenged academically and athletically to have fun playing field hockey, to get better, and also be challenged with school. I work hard to win and try to give everything I can, always looking for ways to get better and play the best I can. I feel my strongest on the field, in the cage, and am working hard to achieve my goal to play field hockey in college.
