Sports have been one of my life's most important things from the beginning. My mom has always said that I am at my best when moving, and I didn't really understand that until I got older. I feel free and empowered when I am on the field working toward shared goals with my teammates. Before I landed on field hockey, I tried all the others - swimming, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis - none of them had the same power over me that field hockey did. I knew it was my sport within the first week of picking up a stick in seventh grade. Field Hockey challenges me in ways that other sports don't. Coordinating field positioning with stick speed and agility while maintaining a high level of endurance exhausts me in the best way possible. Having only played for three years, I know I have so much more to learn, but I am proud of my individual and team success. I was a Varsity team member as a freshman last year, beating out over 40 other girls on the JVA and JVB team for the spot. As a varsity team, we were Conference Champions and Regional Runners Up. While playing on my FHL club team, I have had the opportunity to attend three National Indoor Tournaments and a National Club Championship in 2023. I want to play field hockey in college because of how much this sport has given me, and because I know I am coachable and driven to achieve even more. I am not done.
