My name is Olivia Hledin, and my collegiate goal is to play field hockey at a university that can also offer me a top quality educational experience. My coaches have told me that what separates me from others is my understanding of the game, and my vision on the field. Although I only started playing field hockey last year, I was selected for Team Ontario West last summer (my coach was Michelle Turley- Head Coach of Guelph University), competing in the National Championships, finishing second. I also won the Halton Region Championships with my high school team, of which I am the captain. I am a multi-sport athlete that also maintains a 90% academic average.
I have been selected by the NextGen program, which is a Field Hockey Canada training program dedicated to educating, developing, and monitoring junior athletes capable of successfully meeting the demands of training, international competition and performing on the international stage for inclusion to the Senior National Team.
I am also a member of the 2019 U18 Team Ontario Squad
