Hadley Harbert '24 Recruiting Profile

I am the class of 2024 and play Varsity for Germantown Academy in Ft. Washington, PA. I made and started Varsity for our 2020 season as a freshman. We had a modified season due to the pandemic, but I was happy to have any opportunity to play with my teammates and for coach Jackie Connard. I miss it so much and I can’t wait to play with them again in the 2021 season.

In addition to participating is USA Futures, I play for club PowerHouse FH. I am extremely lucky to be coached by world-class coaches, Stef Fee, Caitlin “Poppy” VanSickle, Lauren Pfeiffer and Heather Morris who all have deep field hockey experience on both the national as well as international level. We have had success winning many indoor tournaments in the 2019-2020 including our pool for NITs. We have also successfully competed at Disney Showcase and Shooting Stars.

My coaches have described me as a coachable athlete and a good teammate with a high field hockey IQ. I enjoy playing so much and being on the field with my teammates but am also competitive and really want to win. I use my height to the best of my ability. I have a strong drive so am also an attribute on offensive corners but also am used for defensive corners. I am always happy to play any position where I am needed but my favorite position is at Screen/defensive midfield.
