I have been playing water polo since sixth grade. I instantly fell in love with the game, while being undersized something I am able to utilize to my advantage is my heart and how much I want to play. Something that I focus on improving upon in the coming years is my water polo IQ while right now my IQ is around average but the more I play the game learn and take in my water polo IQ will improve each year. During my Freshman year, I played limited varsity minutes with 6 goals to my name. While playing little varsity minutes I also pride myself on being the best teammate possible while sitting on the bench I always try to be the most positive and cheer my teammates on the most. I have a high motor and strong work ethic which sets me apart from possibly some more talented and bigger athletes. I am extremely receptive to criticism from my coaches and strive to achieve my goals. I work in the pool and out of the pool in my academics, I strive for the best I can possibly achieve. As well as water polo I participated in swimming during the winter I also played club water polo during the spring of Freshman year. My end goal would be if possible to compete for a DII, DIII and or a high or mid-level club team. Sophomore year update: My Sophomore year was a huge success as a team, being part of something amazing as we tied for the school water polo win record with 22 wins. While I still had limited varsity minutes, my team came in second in the Inter academic league and we won third at Easterns A division. Over the offseason I plan to strengthen my water polo skills by lifting to put on muscle and strengthen my legs and shot. As well as swimming for GA during the winter and playing Maverick water polo during the spring.
