Kara Lotz '12 Recruiting Profile

I'm Kara Lotz, I play for Tiverton High School, and I'm 15 years old. I'm 5'7, and I weigh around 120 pounds. Throughout my high school career, I've played and started varsity. The first two years of my experience were really difficult, being in division one. This past year, my team dropped to division two, where we won second place in the regular season, and went all the way to semi finals. I have accepted three awards, including team MVP, Division 1 Honorable Mention, and Division 2 First Team. I'm quick, strong, and smart. On the field I can see plays develop, and i often help my coach out at practice. I was not chosen captain; it was a team vote. However, I do consider myself a mentor to younger players and even to the girls in my own grade. I have heart and drive at every game and practice. I continue after the season to stay in shape, as well, because I really want to pursue field hockey in college. I am not too picky when it comes to colleges. I'm completely open to any school, but I want playing time. I do not want to bench the entire first season; I never have. From day one of high school field hockey, I have started every game, and played all 60 minutes, unless injured. Any school that has a pharmacy major sounds good to me, and i would be willing to think about it. The only thing i really want is playing time. I'm a great athlete and i will bring a positive attitude and love for the game to every practice. I strive to be the best player I can be, all so i can go onto the next level. I'm a team player and an excellent listener and leader. I would be a great addition to any team.
