Working hard has been important to me for my entire life and this is especially true when it comes to football. This hard work was rewarded when I was a sophomore, I earned the starting position as our team’s varsity kicker. I was proud to help our team throughout the season and was ranked in our league - we won the sectional title by a field goal. That was a huge moment for me and lit a fire in me to continue to succeed. I have two qualities that I am especially proud of and believe they will help me in all parts of my life. The first is that I have developed the ability to perform really well under pressure. I can take the field during the most stressful times and still focus on my purpose and execute my job. The second is that I am relentless about improving my performance. I am never satisfied and always strive to be better than my last kick.
I am focused on two goals at this time: continue to contribute to my high school team’s success (repeat our league title next year) and find the right match in a college. It is important to me to attend a school with the right environment. I make mistakes like anyone else and I have a lot to learn but I am focused on improving and learning. The right school will have a good academic program, but also have coaches who will work with me to get to the next level in my ability. I work very hard and want to learn. The best environment and team for me to succeed is one that is strongly connected as a team and supportive of players - both coaches and players supporting each other. I am very excited about the next several years and can’t wait to see my football career take off.
