Football has always been my passion. At the age of 8, I joined a Sacramento flag football team and instantly fell in love with the sport. My parents and I spent hours at practices and games---it connected us as a family. Eventually, my dad became a coach as well. I bugged my parents to allow me to play tackle, and at the age of 11, I joined the Jr. Blue Devils Team in Davis. During my freshman year at high school, I was awarded the Defensive MVP of the Freshman team and played both ways. In my sophomore year, I was promoted to Varsity and played in the majority of the games as a wide receiver. This year, my Junior year, I became a starter as a wide receiver and also did kick return. Our team won the Delta League Championship--- the first time Davis has won in 25 years. It was an honor to be part of that history. I was awarded 2nd Team All Delta League as a wide receiver.
I have attended numerous football summer camps, including the West Coast Elite Camp and this past summer was asked to participate in US National Team Training Camp in Ohio. I enjoyed testing myself against other talented players in the nation. I was just recently asked to attend the Polynesian Bowl National Combine in Las Vegas this coming spring.
I am a multi-sport athlete. I have been running track as a sprinter for five years and was awarded the Halden Invitational Athlete of the Meet in 2018.
Off the field, I am a dedicated student and especially enjoy courses in Psychology and AP Art History. I have trained as a Recreation Leader for the City of Davis, am an accomplished piano player, and have umpired for the Davis Little League. This summer I was just accepted to join the Global Glimpse cultural immersion program, which sends students to countries in Central America for 16 days.
I am a very coachable player and strive to get better in everything that I do. I am also highly competitive and perform well under pressure. My nickname on our team is “Mr. Dependable” because of my ability to always get the job done. I want to attend a college where I can challenge myself both in the classroom and on the field, and continue to develop into a well-rounded person who is useful to the world.
