My name is Elijah Washington and my journey playing football after high school hasn’t been what I expected it to be. Coming from high school I attended the university of La Verne a division 3 program and didn’t play against the level of completion I felt I should be playing against. I’ve now attended College of the canyons a community college in Santa Clarita, CA, and I am now attending Glendale Community College. I’m set to attain my AA degree in the winter of 2019 so I would be eligible to transfer mid-year. I currently have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and hoping to improve it in the fall and winter of 2019.
I’d consider myself a natural born leader and I tend to lead by example. I’ve played football all my life and I’ve wanted nothing more then to play at the highest level and compete with the best. I’ll give my all anywhere I go and I’d say I’m a smart football player among other things. I know how to be coachable and be the guy that’s accountable and respectful anywhere I go on and off the field. I’ve been taught to have a certain level of respect and sportsmanship since the day I started playing football wether it be from my Dad or my various coaches throughout the years. I feel as if I’d be a good fit in any program because all I want to do is strive for excellence and be the best I can be day in and day out.
