Soccer, or football as we call it in my family due to my English heritage, has played a significant role in my life since I started playing at the age of six. Soccer is my biggest passion, it has taught me the values of commitment, maintaining a high work ethic, and resilience, values that I do not only apply in games and trainings, but in school, extracurricular activities, and ultimately my daily life. I am a very hard working individual and believe that no goal is too grand, anything in life can be achieved through commitment and the perseverance despite adversity. My work ethic is something I take great pride in, I will always give the game my outmost potential during games and trainings as this is the only way one is able to improve. I have proved that playing soccer under severe academic pressure is possible, during my sophomore year, I received a 4.2 GPA while playing on the Varsity soccer team and have recently received a 4.4 GPA for my Junior year. I am a team player and do not play for myself, but play for my team as a whole and consider an assist as an equivalent value to that of a goal. I can contribute to a team in many ways, my strengths being my speed, headers, dribbling, and playmaking. My primary position is a Forward/Wing but I can also play anywhere in the midfield. Some of my strengths are the ability to beat the defenders on the run with speed and my technical abilities to distribute the ball. I value a college soccer program that creates opportunities to work the ball up the field with procession and not by aimlessly kicking the ball forwards. I enjoy playing a game of tactical soccer which requires a lot of discipline and focus, qualities I show on and off the field. I aspire to compete at a high level and develop as a soccer player, individual, and a student.
