Elijah Rodriguez '22 Recruiting Profile

     Hello, my name is Elijah Rodriguez. Some collegiate goals of mine include attending and finishing four years of college with a major in religious studies. I would be honored to play football at any college that would give me the opportunity to help me accomplish my goals in my sport as well as my personal life. I would be a great candidate for your team.  Over the last nine years of playing, I've learned that nothing can limit my ability to play at high levels. I've always played with a chip on my shoulder and confidence that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

     My sophomore year, a week before my first game, I broke my thumb during receiver training. As a result, I missed my entire sophomore season. I believe strongly in off-season training.  I used that time to train hard with the anticipation of coming back strong my junior year.  

     In my junior year, I was named 2021 Big VIII Offensive Player of the Year.  I also won the Shootout QB/WR tournament held in Phoenix, AZ. I am a quick and shifty receiver that has the ability to create separation and make myself open. I have an impeccable catch record especially in the clutch or in tight coverage.    I am on special teams and block well.  I train hard and always give my team 100% on and off the field!

     I am not like the average recruit because not only will I keep my grades at a 3.5 or higher, but I will carry myself with humility and respect for those around me. I can say with confidence that I will be a man of good integrity on and off the field. I will move forward with the motivation and determination to be successful in all areas of my life, especially football.
