I am looking for a school that holds academics above athletics. My career goal is to be a teacher like my mother (who passed away suddenly from inflammatory breast cancer in August of 2017, three days after my Freshman year started). My promise to her was to excel in all aspects of my education and in volleyball, which she was always proud of me for my dedication and inspiration my parents instilled within me.
I have been on JV and Varsity teams in high school and have always been on a premiere or 1's team in club and try to support the team by leading by example and demonstrating excellence in behavior and accountability at all times. (ie: no tantrums or throwing fits or using profanity if something goes wrong - instead, stay calm and focused and optimistic for the next point). I am ALWAYS a team player! When we win, we ALL win... if we lose, we ALL strive to win next time.
Grades are important to me. I currently carry a 4.3 GPA and am taking 2 AP classes and 2 honors classes (along with Spanish and PE/Volleyball, which don't offer higher-level class types like honors or enhanced).
