Andy DeVine Jr '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andy DeVine Jr, Class of 2023 football player from Mission Hills High School, San Marcos California.

I have a strong desire to earn my 4-year degree while very committed to achieving at the highest level as a scholar athlete.  I believe that I could be a great asset to not only your football program but to your university as a student and your community as a citizen.

I am currently carrying a 3.6 grade point average and intend to work on maintaining it, if not improving through graduation. I have a current interest in Marketing, Business Economics or Administration and Communications. I was awarded Freshman Offensive Player of the Year on our team that went 8-2 towards our City Championship.  I was our team's starting Tail Back, Strong Side Linebacker and filled in at Slot Receiver.  As a student of the game, I am also interested and have done well at Safety and all Special Teams including kickoff returns.  Our 2020 JV season was cancelled due to COVID but I was one of eight players invited to work out with Varsity and the only Sophomore to earn a starting position by the end of last season where we went undefeated. I am now starting Strong Side Linebacker and Special Teams 2021 Season and backup running back as a Junior.

As starting Sophomore now Junior Player of the year and All League Second Team for Varsity, I helped lead a #13 ranked California 1A team to the San Diego Open Division SemiFinals.

  I believe that my coaches would tell you that I am very 'coachable' and an extraordinary team player.

I am currently 6'3" at 200 pounds but the gym is my second home, so I will be stronger and faster by sign in for your training date.
