My name is Ben Mason and my goal is to attend a College/University to succeed in academics and athletics. I am looking to find the right school that will provide a challenging and competitive environment in which I can thrive in. My main goal is to graduate from school with some type of business management degree. While attaining my degree, I would also like to play college football at the highest level my abilities will allow me to. I am very confident that I will be able to achieve my goals of academic and athletic success based on my past experiences.
I have been participating in school and football for over 10 years so the qualities I have developed in balancing studying and athletics are work ethic, preparation, attitude, and leadership. I use these qualities on and off the field to help drive me toward my goals. Whether it is on the field, in the weight room, or in the classroom, I establish personal goals in which I aim to achieve. Some examples that would demonstrate this are the following: I wanted to be the first freshman to start all 13 games in school history. While accomplishing this, I was recognized as All Conference my freshman year. Although this was a great personal achievement, I didn't forget who I was, and attended all of my classmates jv games on Saturdays to show support. I wanted to be First Team All State as a Sophomore. I wanted to make the All Academic team while participating in all honors classes. I wanted to be the first Freshman in school history to make the 1000 lb club (315 bench, 435 squat, 260 power clean). I achieved all of these goals by having a plan that broke down all of these goals into smaller steps.
Now as I enter the second half of my high school career, I really feel these attributes and my passion for the game separates me from other recruits.
Look Forward to hearing from you and your program.
