Kendyl Morgenstern '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a very goal oriented, hardworking, and determined student and athlete. I've played soccer since 5th grade, playing on rec for 2 years, premier for an additional 2, as well as 3 high school seasons. When the high school season is over, I play 2 soccer teams, my town team and CFC Wave team. I also do weight training and work on footskills on my own and with the app called Techne futbol. My goal oriented ways also lead into other areas of my life. I was inducted into the National Honors Society this year and have been apart of several different school clubs such as Unicef, Hawks Honors Association, and More Than Just a Book Club. I am also apart of Families United Newtown which is a local organization that throws parties for special needs children. I love to help other within my community and have helped welcome kids in grades below me into new schools each time they move up grades. I was selected to be a part of the Newtown High School Link Crew helping to run freshman orientation. I have helped tour kids at school starting in 6th grade when 4th graders entered intermediate school all the way to helping 8th graders enter high school through that Link Crew program. I have also helped coach younger kids travel soccer teams as an assistant coach and head coach for a U9 boys' team. I am a determined student in the class room, maintaining a 4.67 weighted GPA. I will continue to be just as goal oriented and determined as I am now all the way through college and know how to balance academics, soccer, and extracurricular activities.
