Mason Goodyear '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a student at Prince Avenue Christian School (PACS) in Bogart, GA.  I have played football since the third grade at PACS, primarily on the offensive and defensive line.   I started at the varsity level my freshman year at the OL/LG position.  I was the only freshman on the offensive line that year.  I have played every position on the offensive line to date, sometimes playing different OL positions, in the same game ,depending on need.  Our team won the Georgia Single A Private State Championship in 2020.  After the 2020 season, I was voted my team's offensive lineman of the year, and made All-Region Second Team.   This season (2021) Prince Avenue Christian made it back to the State Championship, but did not finish successfully.  After the regular 2021 season, I was voted All-Region First Team.  I am looking for a school that will further develop me as an student, an athlete and as a young man.  I am looking for a school that will help prepare me for the forty years after my four years in college.  I understand that, realistically, not everyone makes it professionally in football.  I am looking for a school, and a team, that will help me develop into the best professional I can be regardless of my future occupation.  I believe my commitment to hard work, a strong work ethic, and my ability to adapt to multiple positions on the offensive line will be an asset to any program.  I firmly believe in team and community.  I also believe if you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together.
