My name is Lauren and I am a 2024 grad year at Prince Avenue Christian school I have been playing softball since 5 years of age and started catching at 6. I have been a catcher and infielder ever since with Catcher as my primary position. I am active in my Church and Younglife. I also participate in Basketball. I have been lucky that my parents have given me the opportunity to take weekly hitting and catching lessons. Makes for a busy week with my studies but I am thankful. I currently as a 10th grader carry a 4.3 GPA and a Member of the National Honor Society and Beta club for academic achievement. Catching is my passion and focus but when the High School team needed me to play 1st as a freshman being our catcher was a Senior, I did what my coach asked to help the team and learned a new position beating out 6 upper classmen for the position. As a Sophomore they asked me to play 3rd and catcher and start each game at one of those positions. As a Freshman and Sophmore, I started every game and received post season honors for All Area Honorable mention as a freshman. I also was awarded Most Improved Player as a Freshman as voted by my High School Coaches. I have achieved Head Masters Honor roll for the last 8 semesters. This is achieved for all A's. My goal is to compete and be the best teammate I can be, contribute where the coach needs me and be the best teammate, student and player I can be. I play for an 18u Atlanta Premier Elite team which competes however I am the only 2024 grad on the team. It has challenged me to play against older players as an 06 and compete at the highest levels of Travel ball in the Southeast include PGF, USSSA and USA
