Zachary Hanshaw '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2'' 265lbs offensive linemen and longsnapper from Marietta Georgia, I play varsity football for Pope High School. I have played all four years of high school football. I played on the varsity for 3 years and started my junior and senior season. My senior year, my team had the best record in our school's history at 10-2 losing in the second round of the Georgia state playoffs. In my senior season I won the Matt Hobby #70 Memorial Jersey award which is voted upon by my teammates. I also won the Golden Helmet Award for playing for the Pope Football program since I was in 4th grade and went all the way through 12th grade.   I have played full contact tackle football since I was four years old. Most of the years I was the vocal leader of my teams to where I amp everyone up before the game and then lead my team onto the field. I really don't have a preference to where I want to go to school, but I am willing to go anywhere in the country to play the game I love. The type of school I am looking for does not matter because i will play football at any level to where coaches and schools think i can play. My desired major is any form of criminal justice or some sort of broadcast journalism. I really have the desire to protect people and that is what i would like to do with my life after college. My goals for college football is to play for a school to where i contribute in anyway throughout my college career. The division of the school does not matter to me because I would play this game anywhere, anytime, and anyplace. I will need much help finacially due to the fact my parents filed for bankruptcy last year so any kind of either academic or athletic assitance would be much appreciated. I am currently enrolled in the NCAA Eligibility Center.
