Personal Statement

I was introduced to crew at the age of 12 during the fall of 2016 and the sport quickly won me over. I spent two years on the middle school squad, one year as a rower (2016-2017) until I switched to coxing in the fall of the next year (2017-2018). The following fall season I joined the novice men's squad (2018-2019). The summer following my novice year I was one of two coxswains selected for a higher performance St. Andrew's Rowing Club camp that culminated at USRowing National Championships (Club Nationals). I am currently a varsity level coxswain for the men's squad at St. Andrew Rowing Club. I love being a coxswain because my team is my second family. I love how we all support each other towards individual goals as well as working together towards a common goal. As a coxswain I use my leadership and detail oriented skills to be on top of every task I am given, stay organized, be responsible for my actions. I am determined and am always working towards being in better boats. I pride myself on always applying myself fully to my coxing and my team, and I strive to push myself and my teammates towards improvement.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
