Hi my name is Mendel, but I am one of the rare ones that go by their middle names - which is Lucas. I am the oldest of 5 kids, and I've been playing football ever since I was 5 years old. I am very passionate about football and most days I am either watching or playing the game. I typically have a football wherever I go, even playing catch in the parking lot while waiting at a restaurant. I love watching my favorite college team, the South Carolina Gamecocks. I record tons of games so that I can replay and study them. I hope to be able to play at the next level and ultimately making it to the NFL. I am willing to put whatever work I need to to keep getting better so that I can make it happen!!
As much as I love football, one thing I want everybody to know about me is that I always put God first, my family, school, and then football! I'd be a great addition to most teams because of my speed, I have strong hands, and I'm great with the ball out in space. I can do more than catch, throw, and run. I love being a part of teams and I do love making big plays, but I also enjoy watching teammates make big plays too. I am very respectful and coach-able and will do whatever is needed for my team. I will work just as hard, maybe even harder than other athletes.
