Being awarded MIL First Team as a junior was the highlight of my high school career. During my junior season, I averaged a pick/turnover every game. However, I got injured during the 5th game of the season with a broken collarbone. I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete during this time because it made me realize things can be going so good but then suddenly go bad. I used this time away from football to really find who I was as a person. I also used it to really focus on school. This experience helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a dynamic cornerback capable of playing at the college level.
During my four years playing football at Kamehameha Schools Maui, I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership being that we never won an MIL Championship. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a three-sport athlete, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
