Football has had a massive impact on my life and it still continues to change my life to this day. From a young age, I learned that playing this sport would not come easy. I knew that it would take a lot of dedication, long hours, even after practice, and continuing to train during the off season to better myself. Unlike others, I had a hard time showing my skills and what I was capable of, because I did not get much playing time. My first 2 years playing high school football was very hard for me because I got little to no playing time, but when I actually got an opportunity, I did seize it. And shortly after my sophomore year, the pandemic hit and that brought on greater problems and challenges. But I couldn’t give up. I continued to train and lift weights at home while our state was in lock down. Near the end of the lockdowns, I made one of the biggest decisions of life. That lead me to moving to another high school to try and get the opportunity to play and showcase my skills on the football field . I finally got the chance that I have been working for, for so long. I am now the starting wide receiver on my high school team, and as of now, I am leading my team in touch downs. I am slowly making a name for myself, just hoping that it’s not too late. I would love to continue following my dreams of playing football at the next level. I have the drive, determination and talent, all I need is the opportunity.
