Ever since I started playing in Sixth Grade, I have known that this is the sport for me. Nothing else in my life gives me the great feeling that I get when I play football. Every year when the season ends, I have an empty feeling inside. During the season, Football is my life, and when that ends for me I don't know what to do besides play more football. It seems like the day the season ends I always find myself with my friends playing catch or tackling each other because I simply have nothing else to do. Even if there is five feet of snow on the ground and we have to wear boots and jackets, I still will end up playing football even if it is in the middle of the snow covered road in my neighborhood. During the off-season all of the stress of life build up. But when I get to put those pads on and let out my aggression, all of my worries go away and I feel like I can be who I really want to be. A football player. Everything I do in life is for the sport that I love whether it's grades, lifting, running, eating correctly, making smart decisions, even playing Madden to understand the game more, Everything is not only for the benefit of myself but, most importantly my team. There is nobody else in my life that I care about more than my team, if one of them gets hurt it hurts me too.
I have been able to have great mentors in my football playing experience. Craig Kaminski, (my 8th Grade coach who was an Offensive Guard for the University of Utah and was taken in the NFL Draft class of 1988 to play for the Dallas Cowboys) Has taught me many great things on not only how to be a good football player but also a good person. If I could have him coach our team in High school that would be my dream come true. He has always told me and my parents that I have great potential. The first time I heard him tell me that was when I truly started believing that I can go through with this and that I can be something great if I put the effort forward and make sure I don't mess up in life. If I could pick somebody to be with me throughout my whole Football Career he would be my absolute first choice.
Every time I get to be out on the Football field under the lights with all of my friends and family cheering me on, it feels like heaven on Earth and I would not have it any other way.
