My name is McKade Brooks and I am a 17 year old junior at Astoria High School in Astoria, IL. I am a dedicated student and athlete and take both roles very seriously. I would like to major in law enforcement/wildlife conservation to pursue a career as a game warden. I am a member of National Honor Society, FFA, football, basketball, and baseball. I was team captain for football as a junior and am currently team captain for basketball. I have a solid family support system with continued encouragement and support with academics and sports.
My goal is to attend an institution where I can devote my time to my academic program and a football team. I have played sports since I could hold a ball and I am constantly driven to better myself and enhance my contribution to my team. My work ethic in the classroom, on the field, and in the weight room continues to reflect my commitment to achieving my goals.
This year I contributed 170 tackles leading the Prairieland Black Conference with 32 tackles in one game. I was awarded MVP and Best Defensive player as a junior on our varsity football team. I have been a 3-sport athlete during my years in high school earning JV Basketball Best Defensive Award freshman and sophomore year, Football Heart and Hustle Award, and JV Baseball Top Pitcher Award.
I would love to be given an opportunity to show a coach at the college level my determination on the field while contributing to a team. I possess a strong work ethic, discipline, and commitment to excel on the field and in the classroom. I look forward to earning the opportunity to play for a great football program while receiving an excellent education. Thank you for your consideration.
