My name is Kenny Clayton, and I attend De La Salle Institute in Chicago, IL. I carry a 4.65 GPA, and I am currently enrolled in all Honors and AP courses. I have been playing football since I was 5. I started with flag football until 7th grade, which is when my parents allowed me to play tackle. I started a majority of my first year at defensive line. I started at linebacker and defensive end during my second season. During my second season, my youth team won the championship for our division. Unfortunately, we lost at state, but that just made me want to work harder so I could get back to that championship at the high school level. During my freshman season of high school, I was playing as a backup to a sophomore. However, I am going to continue to improve my skills until I am given the opportunity to start on varsity. I know I’m not the biggest or the fastest on the field, but I don’t allow that to affect my overall performance. I always am looking to improve; I am never satisfied with one good practice or game. I want to be able to go to a college that will continue to push me academically and athletically.
