Personal Statement

My name is Christopher Scott.  I am 6'3", 200 lb Senior at Flora High school.  I am currently the starting varsity quarterback and was able to earn that spot three games into my sophomore year.  With continued hard work I will strive to EARN that position again my senior year  Although my main position is quarterback , I feel I am a very versatile player and can adapt to any position that is thrown my way.  After the football season ends each year,  I play basketball and then do weight training until the next football season.  I love all sports but football is my #1 passion.  I am very confident to say that I am a team player.  Not only do I push myself to put out 110% on and off the field but I also encourage my teammates to do the same.  I have the motivation that it takes to get the job done on and off the field. As a student athlete, I always keep my studies first and sports second. My current GPA is a 3.7/4.0, placing me 11th in my class of 91.  My goal is to study hard and try to make it in the top ten of my class by graduation.  I am currently looking into athletic training as my major but I am very open to other majors that will keep me involved in sports in general as it is my passion. During my downtime, I volunteer at the JFL, aiding the younger athletes, as young as the 3rd grade, in playing football and help with basketball camps as well. I believe it is very important that the youth have good role models to look up to within their sport of interest.    I'm very excited to see where my talents in football will take me, as I am open to all opportunities given to me.
