Tim Jansen '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tim Jansen. I am 18 years old and live in Pingree Grove IL. I attend Hampshire High School as a senior. My dream is to play college football at a great school that has an outstanding history/anthropology department. I would like to possibly double major in these two fields or might go undeclared to make sure 100% I know what I want to study. I have been awarded All-Conference and reached the goal I have set for my self. I finished the year with 746 receiving yards, 36 receptions, 12 receiving touchdowns, 550 returning yards, and 1 returned touchdown. I finished second in my area in receiving yards and first in receiving touchdowns. My goals for this off-season is to weigh 190 lbs and bench around 350-400 lbs. I also am working on increasing both my 40 time (currently 4.5) to a 4.4 and to increase my vertical (currently 35) to 40 inches. As of this week I began my off-season workout and am lifting twice a day. My work ethic and self-motivation is what gives me not only the energy but dedication I have towards my work outs.

Other then football, I also play basketball, baseball, and track and field. I have always been a three sport athlete since I was at the age of 5. This year I am running track instead of playing baseball. Outside of sports, I am very dedicated to my school work. This year, I am taking an A.P. class, an honors class, an excel class, and an advanced class to not only boost my G.P.A. but also to get myself prepared for the tough life of a college student-athlete. No matter what college I will attend I will gave my all on every class, game, and practice of my next four years there.
