In my Junior year, I started at Outside Linebacker and Special Teams. Our team made it to the Semi-Finals in the IHSA tournament.I am committed to excellence both on and off the field. I am 6'1", 210 lbs. and my dream is to play college football. My goal this year is to find a college that fits my academic interests and has a football program that could benefit from my athletic skills, self-determination, and leadership. I am interested in a college that has a big campus feel for the athletics and social aspect, but small classrooms that provide access to my professors and more availability to interact and share ideas. I prefer a learning enviroment that allows me to have a conversation with my teachers and it is important to me that I can develop a strong relationship with them. I currently have a 4.0 GPA with a 27 on ACT and have an interest in pursuing an Engineering Degree.During my Freshman year, when a football coach suggested I try wrestling to keep in shape over the winter and that it would help improve my Linebacker skills, I dedicated myself to being a student of the sport to catch up with others who had been wrestling for a long time. As a Sophomore, I earned a 2nd place title in the 171 lb. weight class at the AAU State Tournament and 2nd place again at the AAU National Tournament. As a Junior, I wrestled the 195 lb. weight class and placed in the top 8 at the IHSA State Tournament. This sport demanded toughness and committment and I use that on the football field to help my team mates and me to be the best we can be.
Leadership, strong work ethic and discipline are what most people know me for. I am a J Kyle Braid Leadership Award Finalist, chosen for showing leadership both on and off the field of competition. My personal drive to excel is what helps me maintain straight As while being a high achieving, 2-sport athleteI am currently training for my Senior year football season with a blend of power lifting and agility training, in addition to doing Club Wrestling.
