My name is Thomas Shipman a student athlete in the class of 2022. I am currently a senior at Notre Dame College Prep that started on thier varsity football team my sophomore year. At Notre Dame we have had many great football teams in the past one of those being last year. Last season our team went to the second round of the IHSA 8A playoffs and lost. That game will always be in my mind and heart motivating me and making my teammates and I outwork each other to make ourselves reach our full potential on the field. I have always had the goal and dream to play football in college and I try my best everyday to make that dream come true. Right now I am currently 6’6”and 285 lbs. Something that sets me aside from everyone else is my effort both on and off the field. I will always try my hardest no matter what, if that means pushing my self in the weight room, football field, or classroom. Currently I have a 4.02GPA, taking 2 honors classes, 1 AP class, and I’m member of the National Honors Society. Everyday I try to be the best person that I can possibly be which includes being the best teammate and classmate. Beside being invloved with football at Notre Dame, I am very much invloved with many activities through my school as well. Some of those extracurricular activities are: Irish Club, Letterman Club, Burke Buddies, and Pep Club. I am also a person who believes that success comes from hard work which is why I always work my tail off both in and out of the classroom even if that means putting in extra work and why I am where I am today. Overall, I will be the best student athlete that anyone can ask for by putting my team first and will always try to succeed both on the field and in the classroom.
