Ricky Brookins, Jr. '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ricky Brookins Jr and I am team captain for the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots. My goal is to lead my team to a conference championship and then to a state championship. I am a 3 year varsity starter. My sophomore year I started at receiver and cornerback. The last two years I have started at Runningback/slotback/cornerback. On the special teams aspect, I started my sophomore year and currently, as a kick returner and punt returner. Everyday I am working to become a better athlete, and person, the day i was before. I am a team player, and will do anything that will help my I always try to do the best that I can all the time to help my team. I also try to be the most honest and respectful person that I can be. I hope to instill my mindset and be a role model for all who look up to me. I am extremely motivated and believe that hard work does and will pay off! I always give maximum effort on and off the field. I will never take a play or practice off so that I can become the best that I can. I have a love and passion for football, I cannot imagine going to college without playing football. My grades of course are the most important. I have a 3.45 GPA, while taking advanced, college credit, and AP classes. I thank God and my loving family everyday for giving me such a wonderful and blessed life.
