Ava Thompson '22 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to make it to the NCAA championships and to be the best student and athlete I can be. I am a good candidate for your team because I am honest, humble, resilient, I strive to improve, I have respect for others, and I am responsible. I have competed in Gymnastics for 10 years and have learned how to persevere when things got difficult. I am different from other recruits in character because I am confident, optimistic, determined, a good listener, and I am patient. What makes me different from other recruits as an athlete is that I set goals for myself and I don’t stop working until I reach them, I have a strong sense of motivation, I am self-disciplined, I am willing to take criticism to better myself as an athlete, I compete well under pressure, I am focused, and I am able overcome an obstacle and become a better athlete because of it. I am different academically compared to other recruits because I take advantage of the opportunities that are given to me, I am able to handle stress, I have the desire to succeed, I am and always have been passionate about what I do, I have the ability to persevere and complete tasks that are given to me, I am able to think and work independently, and I am always eager to expand my knowledge.
