TJ Newnum '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is TJ Newnum and I am a Defensive End in the class of 2021. My goal is to play at the highest collegiate level possible. I like to believe that I am very charismatic and I hold myself very well. I am a edge rushing Defensive End that also stops the run. I keep my grades high and seriously value my education. My goal in Highschool is to maintain above a 3.6 GPA. Boxing has been one of the best experiences I’ve had and it has had a huge impact on my life. Although I won Golden Gloves State and Jr. Olympics State my biggest accomplishment and motivator was getting 2nd in Jr. Olympic Regionals. This is because I went all three rounds with someone who was older, bigger, stronger, and faster than me. This was a good experience because I learned a lot about myself and it motivated me to preserver and to work hard and never give up no matter how far the odds are stacked against you.
