Personal Statement

I'm a 3 _ year varsity football player, 2-year starter as RB. I've learned the valuable lesson of leading by example on and off the field, accountability, and being there for my team through the good and bad. What makes me a great candidate for your team is the I grew up in a military family, my father retired from the Air Force in 2014.  His level of commitment taught me how to have integrity, service before self, and excellence in everything I do. On and off the field, I work hard to motivate my team. I was inducted into the National Honors and Spanish Honors Society in 2017 school year and currently carrying a 3.9 GPA. For the 2017 season my stats are 267 carries, 1,625 yards (6.08 yards per carry), 16 TDs, and 5 receptions for 69 yards. I was team captain, named Student Athlete of the Week, selected 1st team all-county and 1st team all-conference. Other accomplishments is being named St. Mary's Offensive Player of The Year for the 2nd year in a row, and St. Mary's Most Valuable Player.  I know for a fact I would not be were I'm at if it wasn't for my teammates. I was also selected to play in the Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star Football Game. What I'm most proud about is that our team won the MIAA-B Conference Championship this season.  On my own time I work out on my own time and volunteer whenever possible.  I’m looking for a school that will allow me to grow not only athletically, but academically.  I want to peruse a degree in sports medicine and specialize in sports-related injuries.  It would be an honor to represent your school.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Yale University Prospect Camp
  • 6/25/17 to 6/25/17
  • This was an amazing camp. I got a lot of reps and a lot of training from the Yale RB coach. I feel that I was the best RB there and I had an opportunity to showcase my strongest attributes. I met up with some great D3 schools and Yale is looking forward to seeing some senior tape from me. I was also able to show that I'm a very good receiving RB as well. One of the best camps I have ever been to.

  • This was a very well organized camp. Even though there was almost 900 kids there it was worth it. I got a lot of reps and a lot of instruction at the RB position. I was complemented several times my quickness, being able to change directions, and strong cut ability. My goal is to get my 40 time down to 4.6. During the camp I ran a 4.7. I will continue to work hard at my start and drive portion of the 40. I took a lot from this camp!
  • Camp/Event
  • Lehigh University Prospect Camp

  • It was a great camp. About 90 young men were in attendance. Got a lot of instruction and reps. Very strong camp for me. Ran the 40 in 4.8 and my shuttle was 4.2. Running back coach was very impressed with my cuts and field vision. Lastly, an additional 4 schools approached me expressing interest. All around was a great day and I learned so much.

Donald did a great job and showed amazing strength and endurance in the skilled position category. He maxed out doing the dead lift at 460lbs.
