Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Kyree K. Henderson and I am a student first, athlete second.  My goal in life is to be successful. My number one dream is to make it to a College/University so I get an education and play football.   My secondary dream is to be an Engineer because behind sports I am good at math and science. I am currently in an Engineering academy at my high school.  The academy offers digital electronics and civil engineering as two honors classes.  I am taking them both.  Also, since my sophomore year, I have been starting RB/FB on offense and OLB on defense for our varsity football team at National Academy Foundation High School. This is all to build up to my dreams in life. I enjoy almost every sport available, and play them almost everyday of my life. As a child, football just caught my attention the most. I have been playing since I was 5 years old and never looked back. Another goal I have is to get a scholarship for academics or football so that I can play in college at the next level. There I would like to do my best and show I can make a difference with my education and as a team player!  In college I want to be a mechanical engineer because I like to build and enjoy hands on activities.  Another unique type of engineer that I would like to be is a sports engineer because I want to give back and support my fellow dream chasers as a leader with improved equipment so they can excel early on in life.  If I had to switch both of those majors I would select mainly anything dealing with science because all the weird questions that not many people can answer interest me.  For example, aliens, space, animals, these are groups that I have looked into in the past and still enjoy today.  Coaches, I will work hard at anything that steps foot in front of me, and if you need me to show it I won't let you all down.
