My collegiate goals are to play for the best possible team for me. As a member of any football team I want to be able to help my team out in anyway that I can. I want to be able to play at the next level to show both myself and my parents what I’ve been working hard for since I was seven years old wasn’t for nothing. I am a good candidate for your football team because I am a leader both on and off the field. I was appointed as captain by the coaches both on JV and varsity. As a member of this team I will give 100% everyday no matter what difficulties are thrown at me. I am different from other recruits because I am the true definition of a student-athlete. Currently I have a 3.89 GPA and I apply myself both inside and outside of the classroom.
I am a good candidate for your football team because I have good work ethic both in the classroom and on the field. I am very organized, detail-oriented, and a fast learner, with a photographic memory. I can take constructive criticism and apply it where needed. Through-out my football career I haven’t missed any practices or games. Also, I haven’t been in trouble on or off the field; nor have I been in trouble in or out of the classroom. Since I come from a strong family support system I treat each of my team members like my brothers, and each of my coaches with the utmost respect.
I began to run track in 2012 to improve my speed in football. As with everything that I do I gave it my best and as a result I was awarded the top male newcomer award. I became a state qualifier for both indoor and outdoor track in 2012-2014. Since running track, I have played with more speed and explosion. I also believe that the sport of track has improved my quickness at the defensive back position. I love the sport of football and have since I can remember watching with my family as a young child. I will always do my best to maintain the integrity of the sport as I believe all players should.
To all perspective coaches, in selecting me for your program you are getting a hard working self-motivated young man and team player. Playing football both in college and as a professional has been a dream of mine since I was five years old. To help this dream become a reality I work harder each day than I did the day before. As a player I will not quit on my team, on my coaches, and most of all I will not quit on myself.
