In order to be a team player, whether on the field or off, I have learned that it requires a combination of ethics, integrity, and character. Anyone can play the game for the sole purpose of winning. For me, it is not only winning that it important; rather, it is playing on my best emotional, mental, and physical game so that I can be a valued player. I respect my coaches and teammates, and I believe that to be of good character means to always encourage my fellow teammates and help them to focus on their strengths, rather than weaknesses. My goals in college are to play the game, but to also maintain my academic standing as I have accomplished thus far in high school. Despite my dedication to football, I have achieved a weighted GPA of 3.96 out of 4.0. My ultimate goal would be to purse my college degree while also playing a sport that I have been passionate about since childhood. I believe I can be an asset to your team and will always work to the best of my ability to be a leader and someone who contributes to maintaining positive morale on the team.
