Personal Statement

Hi,

My name is William Omahen better known as Will.

I’m a 2023 graduate Slot-WR and KR at the East Coast Football Prep School in Great Barrington, MA, currently competing with DI, DII, DII and JUCO on the East Coast. I am 5’- 9”, 175lb with a 3.75 unweighted GPA and a 3.96 weighted GPA.

I graduated in 2022 at William T. Dwyer High School Div. 7A, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL., where I was the starting Quarterback.

After graduating from William T. Dwyer HS, I was trained and coached by former NFL player Andy Jones to become a wide receiver. I'm a naturally quick and agile individual and a very versatile athlete, I can additionally play running back.

Up to my Junior year I played  for Portsmouth High School, NH.  Due to Covid our 2020 season  was very short, but I still had the opportunity to  play four games. I moved to Palm Beach Gardens in Florida, and  I trained very hard during pre-season to get ready for my last year of High School Football. I had a great experience playing  for the Panthers, and now my desire and focus is on  playing football in College.

I’ve been playing quarterback and safety since forth grade and through my High School years. In addition to that I played four years of winter full contact 8 on 8 indoor football.

I have a good  knowledge of the game running a spread offense. RPO game plan has been used for the past five years and has helped bring my game to a new level. Playing indoor football with the clock constantly running has taught me to quickly read the defense and call the right play or audible fast.

I'm constantly working on improving my skills by committing to weight training, throwing, practicing footwork and  running speed drills  on an organized schedule.

As for school I try to set high standards for myself, and manage time for after school work and activities with the inclusion of football. Education is very important to me, it will help me to be successful in life and achieve future goals. Im interested on pursuing a Business and Finance degree.

I’m eager to learn and very coachable. The passion for football has pushed me to better myself and taught me determination. I learned from my failures and gained strength from losses and I'm ready for my next journey.

I am excited for my future and will keep thriving to reach my goals as a student athlete!

Will.
