Personal Statement

Hi, My name is Alex Delvecchio I am a 6’ 205 pound middle linebacker out of Lenox, MA

There are many key aspects that I bring to the field. I will start with my persistence, you will never see me hang my head in a game or in practice if I make a mistake it's not a I'm not good at that move on scenario it will be a how do I become the best in that aspect of the game. This also goes to show that I am a high energy player who not only enjoys being on the field but it is my favorite place to be. When I get on the field the adrenaline kicks in and I'm ready to go because in that moment I switch from being a regular kid to a football player. Not only on the field but off the field I am committed to working on my craft showing that I'm committed to getting better day in and day out. I do everything 100% and work hard at every rep in practice and for sure every rep in a game. I workout every morning to prepare for the day. Then after school I go to the football weight room where we work on things to make me a better player on the field. Nothing will stop me from reaching my maximum capability. I'm very coachable and a fast learner and try my hardest to soak in and absorb as much information from as many people as possible because everyone knows a little bit of something and putting all those pieces together is my job.

Now I am not only an athlete, I am a musician, a future eagle scout and an entrepreneur. I play and write music by singing, playing the guitar, piano and saxophone. I have had a small business that I have run with the help of my mom since I was 10 years old. And I am the current senior patrol leader for Troop 3 Lee MA I am a leader leading by example everyday by my choices to try my hardest in school and prioritize the important things. Trying to help lead the kids on my team and in my life in a good moral path. I am driven. I have clear goals in life that I want to accomplish which means I don't have time for silly nonsense. I want to after college and competing at the next level, open a gym and fitness brand while working to become a amateur if not professional bodybuilder. I stick to my plans and work hard daily for my goals to become a reality. Now I would have never expected my goals to be like this. I grew up in the shadow of my brother who always tried to get me out on the field and as much as I Idolized him I didn't want to Let him down. I was raised in a Small town Called Manchester Iowa and when I moved to MA I finally gave it a shot. And realized how much I have been missing out on as I go into my fourth season. I am a Student before I became an Athlete, I currently have a 3.3 GPA but am holding a 3.9 GPA for my junior year. On top of that I have gotten the high honor roll every Quarter of my junior year and am hoping to make the national honor society by the end of the year. Prioritizing learning is something my parents have instilled in me since I was a little kid as is every other trait I ever show. I would not be in the position to write this today without them being a part of my life being my moral compass.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
