My passion for football started in Pop-Warner at the age of 7. At a very young age, I had goals to set every year. Setting goals is the most important virtue I have. I carry it with me still today. I set four collegiate goals once I entered my freshman year. These goals have been in the back of my mind since. The goals are to continue to get better at my game by jumping rope, lifting, short sprints, agility drills, and doing that extra rep. Another goal I set was to always study film and understand my opponent. The reason is because I want to put myself in the best position for the team to win and also to help the defense if they have any questions about our opponents offense. A goal that is one of the most important ones to me is to always be a leader. I believe that if a team has leaders they can look up to and help with there game, it makes the team more unified. Lastly, a goal I set was to always take what the coaches say and apply it to My game. I love it when coaches tell me what I am doing wrong because I know I am just getting better.
As a sophomore in the 2014 season with a very talented and senior based team, I worked extremely hard to earn myself a starting job as the middle linebacker. I also earned a conference all-star. That season, I recorded 74 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 6 sacks. As a junior I recorded 77 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and one recovered fumble. I earned a conference all-star and a Herald News All-star.
