I try to be an excellent student, athlete and teammate. I strive to better myself everyday both in the classroom and on the field, mostly by keeping a positive attitude and lifting others up around me. I learned how important discipline and a good work ethic can be at a very early age, from teachers, coaches and both my parents. I feel I carry this with me every day.
There are highs and lows with everything in life, and I feel that how you deal with both these things tells a lot about a person. Always striving to do better, to be better, is an important part of who I am. Winning a game or getting an A on an exam is awesome, but it's when you lose that game or get a c on that exam when your true grit comes out. What are you going to do about it? How do you learn from these mistakes? Lets face it, we are human and sometimes we fail at things, but digging deep and turning it around is a measure of heart and determination, and I have enormous amounts of both.
I will be searching for a school that will challenge me both academically AND athletically; both of these things are equally important to me and my family.
